Hire Healthcare Assistants in the UK

Healthcare assistants are an integral part of the healthcare system in the UK. They work alongside registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care and support to healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and community settings.

Find the perfect Healthcare Assistant (HCA) for your needs.

We have a wide network of pre-vetted, and experienced healthcare assistants which you can access around the clock. Simply request a call back, and our team will be in touch to provide you with the staff to suit your needs:

Band 2: According to the NHS scales, this position would be a support or administration role. A healthcare assistant also falls within this band and should be focusing on personal care tasks like bathing, toileting, feeding and brushing hair.

Band 3: A staff member in this band would take on more clinical care duties and patient observations, such as analysing urine, doing a pregnancy test, taking blood, and doing simple wound care. Band 3 HCA’s also have additional certification to administer medications.

To work as an HCA in the UK, individuals must undergo appropriate training and qualifications. HCAs are also required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to ensure they do not have any previous criminal convictions that would make them unsuitable for working with vulnerable individuals.

Together with the A24Group we have negotiated reduced rates on training courses. These mandatory training courses are aligned to the UK Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF), which is required by most of our clients, and listed below for your perusal.

Options available for the elderly, ill, or recovering family members include:

Complex care: This involves hiring a healthcare assistant to provide support and assistance to people who have chronic or long-term health conditions who need extra help to manage their symptoms and daily tasks. It can be arranged through private agencies, such as NSUK.

Hospice care: Hospice care provides specialised care and support for individuals who are nearing the end of their life. This can include pain management, emotional support, and spiritual care.

Residential care: Residential care involves moving the individual into a care home or nursing home where they can receive round-the-clock care and support. Care homes and nursing homes provide a range of services, including personal care, nursing care and social activities.

It's important to note that the most appropriate option will depend on the individual's needs, preferences, and circumstances. It's important to discuss the available options with a reliable booking consultant to see what your options are in terms of requirements and possibilities.
